The MPF UltraSep – Resin Model Separator is a specially developed separating agent for dental laboratories that ensures reliable and clean separation between acrylic materials and 3D-printed models.
Thanks to its advanced formulation, UltraSep creates an ultra-thin, even separating layer with just one application, enabling optimal release behaviour and easy removal afterwards. The product is compatible with the common 3D printing processes (FDM, FFF, DLP, SLA/SLP) and is ideal for modern digital workflows in dental technology.
Especially when processing methyl methacrylate-based acrylics, MPF UltraSep ensures reliable separation from model surfaces and reliably prevents unwanted adhesion or damage.
Note: for external application on model surfaces only. Not a medical device.
Indications / areas of application
- Separation of 3D-printed models during acrylic layering
- Separation between acrylic materials and laboratory models
- Fabrication of custom trays
- Fabrication of record bases
- Processing of provisional laboratory work
Advantages at a glance
- Ultra-thin separating layer for precise results
- Excellent separating effect with acrylic materials
- Compatible with common 3D printing resins
- Easy application with a fast drying time (~30 sec.)
- Effortless removal without residue
- Optimises the workflow in the digital dental laboratory
- Ideal for modern CAD/CAM and 3D printing processes
Application
Preparation:
Clean the model surface thoroughly and dry it completely.
Application:
Apply a thin, even layer with a clean brush.
Allow to dry for approx. 30 seconds. Apply a second layer if necessary (e.g. in undercuts).
Processing:
Once completely dry, continue working with acrylic or other materials as usual.
Separation & cleaning:
Carefully remove the restoration (tip: compressed air makes this easier).
Remove residues by steaming and wiping (avoid prolonged steam cleaning of resin/filament models).
Technical notes
- Storage: 15–25 °C, do not freeze
- Shelf life: 2 years from date of manufacture
- Application: external use on model surfaces only
