These tools are masterpieces of precision engineering – created for users who appreciate maximum precision, perfectly balanced ergonomics and a touch of luxury in their everyday work.
Craftsmanship perfection – step by step
Every WAVE handle starts as a solid aluminium bar, which is transformed into a real jewel in a complex, multi-stage manufacturing process:
🔹 1. Precision turning
The bar is machined at 4000 rpm on a Tornos Deco 2000.
An ultra-sharp cutting tool forms the characteristic curves – the later iconic profile of the WAVE handle.
🔹 2. Elegant longitudinal milling
The workpiece moves to a Schaublin milling machine.
A digital indexer creates the fine, perfect longitudinal grooves – a hallmark of the WAVE handles, exclusive to Smile Line.
🔹 3. Finishing
This is followed by:
- Fine sandblasting
- High-quality anodising in intense, brilliant colours
- Engraving & final quality control
The result is a handle that feels like a handcrafted piece of jewellery.
